I’m Aaron Oates, a Building Consultant specialising in making things just that little bit easier for builders and homeowners on the Central Coast. I don’t see problems – I see challenges and solutions, and love nothing more than to see your building project “designed right”.
I work closely with you on new builds, renovations, second storey additions and decks to provide technical advice, estimating services and preliminary engineering expertise.

ESTIMATING
I’ll work with you on the project you plan to tackle and look after the estimating, quoting, ordering and supply process.
If you already have building plans, I’ll use them in my processes, or can refer you to an experienced and reputable Builder, Architect or Building Designer. I’ll put together your Bill of Quantities and aim to quote and supply as much or as little as you need.
PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING
I specialise in designing structural members for decks and pergolas, and lintels above windows and doors. I can engineer the structural components of your project and will consult with a licenced Structural Engineer when needed.
I’m not a Structural Engineer myself which works in your favour – I have enough experience and know how to tackle simple engineering tasks without the hefty price tag that will come from an Engineer.
TECHNICAL ADVICE
With more than 17 years experience in the building industry, I have a wealth of knowledge I can pass onto you. I have a Diploma of Architecture and am an experienced Carpenter, and have worked on job sites and as a consultant in various supply stores.
This ‘all-round’ background means I’ve learned a thing or two about the building process and can provide technical advice and support where it’s needed.
AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
As a licenced (RePL) Drone Pilot, I have the opportunity to capture images of the projects I work on from the sky.
These high quality images give you valuable insights into the progress of your build, allow you to scope landscapes and building sites, can act as keepsakes for your clients and can be used in marketing material to showcase your building or design expertise.
As a Building Consultant, I help streamline the management of your building project to minimise risk and maximise client satisfaction.
